The Delhi Police has arrested twelve men for allegedly stealing 3.5 crore from a transporters office at gunpoint in north Delhis Gulabi Bagh area. According to the police on Thursday, the incident took place in the Kishanganj area last week when a few persons entered the transporters office and robbed him at gunpoint. Deputy Commissioner of Police (north) Manoj Kumar Meena said that the police has recovered 1.5 crore and while eight people were arrested on Thursday in connection with the robbery, four were nabbed earlier. On July 11, a PCR call was received in Police Station Gulabi Bagh regarding robbery of cash at a transport company office in Kishanganj area. On enquiry it was found that July 11 at about 10:45 pm about seven to eight persons having their faces muffled and carrying guns and knife, forcefully entered office of Bikaner Assam Roadlines India Ltd and surrounded present staff in the office. They snatched keys of the safe and robbed 30 lakhs kept in the locker and fled from the spot, the DCP stated.                The information for the cash kept in the office was shared by a 36 year old Upendra who worked in the company previously as a driver.  He passed the information to the other accused namely 33 year old Ankush and 30 year old Pramod who hatched the conspiracy along with Tanzim and Dev, alias Himanshu. Accused Pramod and Ankush arranged vehicle for the heist and Tanzim and Dec arranged other gang members. All accused used to recce the office and nearby area of the company. The police analysed cctvs of more than 200 cameras and vehicle used in office were identified. Two vehicles used in the offence were also recovered. A case under 331(6), 310(2), 311, 3(5) of the BNS and 25 and 27 of Arms Act was registered at Police Station.
