  • | Thursday | 18th July, 2024

Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva on Wednesday claimed that submissions by the CBI counsel in state High Court proves that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is the mastermind of the alleged excise policy linked money laundering scam and asserted that there is a strong bond between him and Pakistans political setup. "After Wednesdays Court Hearing, its clear that on one hand Arvind Kejriwal is the main mastermind of liquor scam and on the other hand, there is a strong bond between Kejriwal & Pakistans political setup," Sachdeva alleged. Delhi BJP chief claimed that the CBI counsel on Wednesday convincingly presented in court that Kejriwal is the mastermind of Delhi Governments Liquor Scam and it was on his direction that wholesale liquor dealers commission was raised from 2 per cent to 12 per cent which resulted in reported massive kickbacks to the ruling AAP. "Secondly the trail of 45 crores kickbacks going to AAP for Goa elections too stands out very clear. Thirdly it stands clear that liquor scams prime accused Vijay Nayyar was allowed to live in a government bungalow in close proximity to CM House on the instructions of Kejriwal himself," he said. Sachdeva said that the way Kejriwals counsel Abhishek Manu Singhvi cited the case of a former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan going on some court in Pakistan while pleading for Kejriwals Bail clearly establishes that there is a close bond between Kejriwals politics and Pakistans political setup. "Its pertinent to mention here that during the recent Lok Sabha elections a former Pakistan Minister lauded Kejriwal and gave statement appealing to Delhi voters for Kejriwal," he alleged and stated that Kejriwals counsel cited the example of Pakistans former PM Imran Khans case in a Pakistans court and equated Kejriwals case to Imran Khans case calling them cases of political harassment. "A counsel cannot give a statement in court without his clients concurrence and statement of Singhvi relating Kejriwal and Imrans cases shows that there is a strong bond between Kejriwal and Pakistans political setup," he said.
