LG launches Public Amusement Portal

Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena on Monday launched the Public Amusement Portal at an event held at New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) Convention Centre making  it significantly easier for entrepreneurs to undertake businesses and activities involving amusement, performances and entertainment.  Speaking on the occasion the Chief Guest Saxena said, This digital transformation marks a significant leap forward in augmenting Ease-of-Doing-Business, as envisioned by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.  He shared the transformative strides that had been made in rationalising, demystifying and easing the regulation and licensing procedures and processes during the last two years. Saxena launched Unified Portal for Eating and Lodging Establishments, which will enhance timings for bars and restaurants, open air dining and permission to establishments to operate on a 24x7 basis, amongst others.  The Licensing Unit of Delhi Police has developed the portal in collaboration with Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and National Informatics Centre (NIC). By integrating various regulatory authorities such as Municipal Bodies, Delhi Fire Service, and Delhi Police onto a single platform, the portal ensures seamless coordination and real-time processing of applications. Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar, Commissioner of Police Sanjay Arora, Special CP (Licensing) Virender Singh Chahal IPS, and MCD Commissioner Ashwani Kumar were also present at the event.
