Two held for making fake passports for Bangladeshis

Two fraudsters were arrested by the Delhi Police for creating fake Indian documents for Bangladeshi nationals to give them Indian identity and arranged Indian passports on the basis of fake documents for sending them abroad. According to the police on Friday, about 21 passports were issued in the name of different persons. Further, photocopies of several passports, blank stamp papers of West Bengal and other documents were recovered from their tour and travel offices. The accused have been identified as 40 years old, hailing from West Bengal and S. Dinabandhu Patra, hailing from Odisha. DCP Indira Gandhi International airport Usha Ragnani said, "In the intervening night of 15-16 March, one pax namely Debasish Pal arrived at IGI Airport, Delhi from UAE on Indian Passport. During scrutiny of his credentials and travel documents, he was found to be a Bangladesh National who obtained Indian passport fraudulently." A case under section 420 (Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 468 (Forgery for purpose of cheating), 471 (Using as genuine a forged document or electronic record), 120B (Punishment of criminal conspiracy), 12 PP Act & 14 Foreigners Act. On the basis of local intelligence, Roy was nabbed from one of his hideouts in West Bengals Nadia and arrested in the case. "On sustained interrogation, he confessed his guilt, said the police.
