"Also, as mentioned in the letter provided by estate office to the school, the plot was given to the school for building a nursery school. "This amount seems to be correct if you go by the estate office record. "The letter submitted by the school before the CBSE reads, "Please refer to your bid for secondary school (up to tenth class) in sector 12 near plot no 540-P, at Panchkula. But it doesn't add up if you take the per square meter rate and the plot area details provided to the CBSE by the school," Chauhan alleged. "Director principal of the school said, "When we got to know about it we also got into the bottom of it.

PANCHKULA: Residents of Sector 12 in Panchkula are up against a private school which, according to them, has tampered with land allotment documents to get affiliation from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).An RTI application was also filed before the CBSE and the estate office, seeking documents related to the land allotted to the school in connection with a case pending before the Punjab and Haryana high court. The documents procured through RTI showed that the school had forged the land records, said L C Chauhan, who filed the RTI plea.Several other residents also claimed that they have filed a formal complaint with the CBSE's regional office in this regard. The forged documents have also been submitted before the high court, said LC Chauhan . On comparing the land allotment letters provided by the two offices, which are with the TOI, it could be gauged that even though the letters have similar memo number (EOP/1999/8684) and same date (June 25, 1999), the facts mentioned below are different. The area mentioned in the land allotment letter provided by estate office, HUDA, Sector 6 Panchkula, was 3665.14 square yards. However, in the allotment letter provided by CBSE, which was duly attested by school authorities, stated that the area as 4065.14 square metres. As per the CBSE's guidelines, a secondary school must have at least one acre (4046.86 square meter) land for getting affiliation. The rate mentioned in the CBSE's letter was Rs 1,925 per square meter, while it was Rs 1,925 per square yard in the estate office's document.Going by the difference in area in both letters, the price of the land in allotment letter too should have been different, Chauhan said. "However, it is the same in both - Rs 70,55,395," he added."This amount seems to be correct if you go by the estate office record. But it doesn't add up if you take the per square meter rate and the plot area details provided to the CBSE by the school," Chauhan alleged."Also, as mentioned in the letter provided by estate office to the school, the plot was given to the school for building a nursery school. This part of the letter too has been changed in the document submitted to the CBSE by adding words "secondary school"," he added. The letter provided by estate office reads, "Please refer to your bid for nursery school (up to UKG class) in sector 12 near plot No 540-P, at Panchkula."The letter submitted by the school before the CBSE reads, "Please refer to your bid for secondary school (up to tenth class) in sector 12 near plot no 540-P, at Panchkula."Director principal of the school said, "When we got to know about it we also got into the bottom of it. We have submitted the required documents which contain some sensitive information in the high court and we will let the court take a decision".
