Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, in a meeting at his official residence on Tuesday, addressed the newly-inducted ministers, urging them to discharge their duties with utmost dedication, sincerity, honesty, and commitment. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of ensuring that the benefits of pro-people schemes reach the grassroots level, stating that this is the need of the hour for the states progress.   Mann, during his interaction with the new ministers, reminded them of the significant mandate the people of Punjab had bestowed upon them, entrusting them with a great responsibility. It is our bounden duty to work tirelessly for the welfare of the people and the development of the state, said Mann, stressing that the Ministers must focus on restoring Punjabs former glory and work towards making it a frontrunner state in India.   With the introduction of fresh faces in the Cabinet, Mann expressed his confidence that the infusion of young blood would energize the states leadership. The new ministers will work hard to elevate Punjab to the zenith of its glory, he said, encouraging them to address issues of public importance with a missionary zeal. The Chief Minister also called for swift action on resolving pressing matters and delivering on the promises made to the people.   Mann congratulated the ministers — Tarunpreet Singh Sondh, Barinder Goyal, Hardeep Singh Mundia, Dr Ravjot Singh, and Mohinder Bhagat — on their new responsibilities. He voiced his hope that they would play a key role in implementing the states various pro-people and development-oriented schemes effectively, ensuring that the governments vision is realized at every level. The ministers are expected to build on the groundwork already laid by the government, ensuring meticulous execution of public welfare policies.   Mondays Cabinet reshuffle, the fourth in the two-and-a-half-year tenure of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, saw five new ministers — all first-time MLAs — inducted. The reshuffle follows the recent performance of AAP in the Lok Sabha elections, where the party managed to secure only three out of 13 seats.   With this induction, the total number of Cabinet ministers now stands at 16, against the permitted figure of 18. Of the five new ministers, two belong to the Scheduled Caste community, two to the Jat community, and one to the Baniya community.   Mann took to social media to share pictures of the meeting, congratulating the new ministers on their appointments and reiterating the governments mission of ensuring that pro-people schemes benefit the maximum number of citizens. Mann also shared his expectations for the new ministers to approach their tasks with sincerity and to focus on enhancing the states governance mechanisms.
