Punjab Govts Mission Rozgar: 45,560 Youth Secure Govt Jobs in AAPs 30 Months

In a significant step towards addressing unemployment, Punjab government has provided government jobs to 45,560 youth within just 30 months of its tenure. The milestone achievement is part of the governments ambitious Mission Rozgar.   The states Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Balbir Singh, representing the Chief Minister, handed over appointment letters to 586 newly-recruited candidates in the Health Department at Tagore Theatre. Dr Balbir emphasized that all jobs have been awarded purely on merit, underscoring the governments commitment to transparency and fairness in employment.   Among the new recruits, 558 are Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs), who will play a pivotal role in strengthening maternal and child health services. Additionally, 14 Ophthalmic Officers, six Medical Laboratory Technicians, three Stenographers, and five Ward Attendants were welcomed into the department.   To further bolster the healthcare system, Dr Balbir announced that 1,390 doctor posts are being filled in a phased manner, with advertisements for 400 positions already issued. The recruitment of 435 house surgeons is also in progress.   With these fresh appointments, the total number of new recruits in the Health Department has reached 1,910. Dr Balbir expressed pride in the states young talent. He noted that reverse migration is now visible, with Punjabs youth preferring local opportunities over seeking jobs abroad.   Dr Balbir also highlighted the expansion of Aam Aadmi Clinics, which have grown to 872 in the state, serving over two crore people in just 30 months, further showcasing the governments commitment to improving healthcare access.   PM Modi to address a Jan Ashirwad rally in Gohana today Sonepat: BJPs State Unit Chief Mohan Lal Badoli on Tuesday informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would address a Jan Ashirwad rally in Gohana Assembly segment of Sonipat on Wednesday. The partys candidates, leaders and workers from 22 Assembly segments, including nine each under Rohtak and Sonipat Lok Sabha constituencies, will attend the rally, said Badoli. He accused Congress leaders — Sonia Gandhi and Bhupinder Singh Hooda — of promoting their sons. The Dalit and OBC leaders are being insulted in the Congress. Hooda got Ashok Tanwar, Selja and Randeep Surjewala sidelined to promote his son, he claimed. Khattar warns of disguised agitators amid Shambhu border closure Ambala: Union Minister and former Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar addressed party workers in Ambala City, stating that the closure of the Shambhu border is a major issue. Khattar alleged that individuals pretending to be farmers on the other side of the border aim to disrupt the system and destabilise the government. A plan was chalked out to reopen this border, but I must inform you that the people on the other side are not genuine farmers, Khattar said. Some individuals are masquerading as farmers to cause disturbance and instability. The people of Haryana are pleased that strong barricades prevented unwanted entry. Khattar added that the matter is currently before the courts and a Supreme Court-constituted committee is working on a solution. We are hopeful that the issue will be resolved soon. However, the court may impose certain conditions before reopening the border, considering the chaos that ensued previously. Ambedkar hostels for poor students if JJP-ASP Comes to Power: Dushyant   Chandigarh: Former Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala announced that if the JJP-ASP alliance forms the government, Ambedkar hostels will be built in every subdivision across the state for students from poor families, ensuring free accommodation for them. He also promised that the government would construct permanent irrigation channels for every farm, providing water access for agricultural land. Chautala made these declarations during public gatherings organized by JJP-ASP candidates in Nuh and Tigaon on Tuesday. Chautala also made significant announcements for Mewat, emphasizing that JJP has always worked for the regions progress and will continue to do so. He stated that a Rs 100 crore budget provision was made during the previous coalition government to address Mewats salinity problem. He assured that, if elected, the JJP-ASP government would resolve the issue by draining saline water through specialized channels, offering complete relief to farmers. Furthermore, a 2,000-acre industrial hub will be developed near the Mumbai Expressway, which will boost employment and promote industry in the area. Chautala also announced the construction of an international-level stadium to promote Olympic sports and the establishment of gym facilities in villages.   Paid holiday for Punjab govt employees registered as voters in Haryana on Oct 5 Chandigarh: The Punjab government on Tuesday declared a paid holiday on October 5 for its employees who are registered as voters in Haryana to enable them to exercise their franchise in the upcoming assembly polls in the neighboring state.  Polling for the 90 assembly seats in Haryana will be held on October 5 and votes will be counted on October 8.  In view of the Haryana assembly elections, the Punjab government has declared a paid holiday on October 5, an official release said.   "In case any officer/employee is a voter in the voter list of Haryana Legislative Assembly and is working in the government offices/boards/corporations and government educational institutions of the Punjab State, then he/she would be eligible for availing special holiday on October 5 from the competent authority by presenting their voter identity card," it said. This holiday will not be deducted from the leave account of the employee.
