Ahead of the Haryana Assembly Elections, the Congress Party on Wednesday announced seven guarantees, including the promises of a legal guarantee for MSP, Rs 6000 pension to elderly, disabled and widows, OPS to employees, 2 lakh permanent jobs to youth, Rs 2000 per month to all women, gas cylinder for Rs 500, 300 units of free electricity and a caste survey, if voted to power. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge released the seven big guarantees of the election manifesto in the presence of party general secretary KC Venugopal, Haryana Congress chief Udai Bhan, former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, and AICC senior observers for the Haryana polls Ashok Gehlot, Ajay Maken and Partap Singh Bajwa in New Delhi. The other guarantees include empowerment of women, strengthening social security, secure future for the youth, welfare of families and houses for the poor. Addressing the journalists, Kharge said that under Saat Vaade, Pakke Irade, or seven promises, firm intentions, Congress has given 7 big guarantees to the people of Haryana. In this, the biggest announcement has been made for women first.  The Congress promised that on formation of Congress government, all women between 18 and 60 years will be given honorarium of Rs 2000 per month. After this, they will get an old age pension of Rs. 6000. Congress has promised to give a pension of Rs 6000 to all elderly, disabled and widows. Along with this, the guarantee of implementing an old pension scheme for employees is also included in this. Congress has also promised to make permanent recruitments under the Bharti Vidhan on 2 lakh vacant posts in government departments. The party announced starting a scheme of gas cylinder for Rs 500, free treatment up to Rs. 25 lakh, free electricity up to 300 units. Free plots of 100 yards and pucca houses are also included in the 7 guarantees of Congress. Talking about farmers, Congress has announced to make a law to guarantee MSP for farmers. Along with this, there is also a promise to give them immediate compensation in case of loss. The target has been set to make Haryana a drug-free state by curbing the increasing drug addiction in the state. Announcing the increase in the creamy layer limit of OBC from 6 to 10 lakh, Congress has guaranteed to conduct a caste survey to find out the population of all castes. This will ensure proper participation of all castes in the system. While releasing the 7 guarantees, Kharge also informed that the detailed manifesto of Congress includes the announcement of building a big memorial for the farmers who died during the movement and giving jobs to the families of the martyred farmers. Apart from this, Congress has included solutions to the demands of every section in its manifesto, which will soon be in front of the public. On the occasion, Hooda said Congress is committed to fulfilling its promises. Earlier, our government fulfilled every promise of the manifesto released in 2005 and 2009 and worked even beyond that. In future also, the Congress government will fulfill every promise, while the BJP has not implemented its 2014 manifesto till date, he stated.
