Punjab Govt Assures Completion of NHAI Projects

Punjab Public Works and Power Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO on Friday reaffirmed the states commitment to advancing and completing National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) projects.   Addressing concerns regarding land acquisition and project delays, the Minister emphasized that the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is actively involved in resolving these issues. Punjab Government is fully committed to ensure that all NHAI projects are completed on time, he said, assuring that any issues related to land acquisition will be promptly addressed, with relevant lands being acquired and handed over to the NHAI without further delay.   In a move reflecting his dedication to improving public services and infrastructure, the Minister also conducted an unscheduled visit to several educational institutions, including Government Senior Secondary Smart School, Janer; Government Primary School, Patti Roopa; and Government Primary School, Moga-1.   During his visit, the Minister participated in a mid-day meal with students, engaging with them and demonstrating his support for their education.   The Minister, speaking to journalists, highlighted the Punjab Governments top priority — educational reform. Outlining ongoing efforts to enhance schools basic infrastructure to secure a better future for the states students, he said: Three new schools have been constructed in Moga city alone, replacing outdated facilities.   He stressed that improving education quality is a key goal, with a particular focus on upgrading the skills of school principals through international training programs. If school heads are well-trained, it will positively impact the schools performance, he said, adding that the Punjab Government is also working to make education more employment-oriented by encouraging technical education and establishing Schools of Eminence.
