State Legal Services Authority observes constitution Day

A collective reading of the preamble of the Constitution marked Constitution Day at the National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR) in the state capital on Tuesday. The programme, in accordance with the directives of the Madhya Pradesh State Legal Services Authority, was held under the guidance of Manoj Kumar Srivastava, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Bhopal. Aarti Sharma, Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, supervised the event, which was addressed by Abhay Singh, District Legal Aid Officer, and Sudhir Dubey, Panel Advocate.The event was attended by C.C. Tripathi, Director of the Institute; Professor Ravi Kumar Gupta; retired Major Nishant Kumar; senior administrative officers; along with the staff, students, trainees, and teachers from other states. Sudhir Kumar Dubey, Panel Advocate, provided information on the constitutional history of the Indian Constitution, the formation of the Constituent Assembly, the main sources of the Constitution, its nature, Fundamental Duties, Fundamental Rights, Supreme Court verdicts related to them, and the Directive Principles of State Policy. District Legal Aid Officer Abhay Singh gave information about the objectives, working system, and structure of the Legal Services Authority. He also provided details on the free legal aid scheme, Lok Adalat, the mediation scheme, pre-litigation mediation, provisions under the Motor Accident Claims Act, the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, and the NALSA toll-free number 15100 for free legal advice and assistance. Major Nishant Kumar Rai gave a detailed explanation regarding the Preamble of the Constitution and discussed its importance.At the end of the programme, C.C. Tripathi, Director of the Institute, expressed gratitude.
