Health camp held at Nutan College

A health camp for female students was organised by the District Health Department at Government Sarojini Naidu Girls College on Thursday. Over 500 students benefited from the health screenings.Amid health checks and consultations, AABHA IDs were also issued. A mobile eye van conducted eye tests for 228 students, two of whom were diagnosed with cataracts. Free spectacles were provided to 43 students. Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr Prabhakar Tiwari informed students about the programmes being conducted by the Department of Public Health and Medical Education. College Principal Deepti Shrivastava and Anita Chaurasia attended the camp, along with heads of various academic departments. Dr Tiwari spoke about the importance of vigilance towards health, including a balanced diet, exercise, and regular health check-ups. He also noted that free iron-folic acid tablets are being provided to young girls for managing anaemia.Shrivastava expressed gratitude to the Health Department for organising the camp.
