An upset Singh directed the deductions at a review meeting held at the Collectorate office in the state capital. District Panchayat CEO Rituraj Singh, also present at the meeting, took officials to task over the slow pace of work and lack of diligence. The district official facing the disciplinary action is Prasoon Soni of the Citizens Services Department. The Collector instructed officials to ensure a special focus on logistics for fertilisers in the district and underlined the need for adequate arrangements for the procurement of wheat and soyabean across the district. Singh said that officials should complete all reports and preparations ahead of the Samadhan meeting scheduled for later this month. Department heads had responded by resolving 600 grievances within a matter of hours. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has repeatedly ordered the closure of pending citizen complaints on the helpline.
