Sarang inspects BHEL Sports Complex

Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang inspected the BHEL Sports Complex on Monday. Minister Sarang said that the preliminary outline has been prepared to operate the BHEL Sports Complex through the Sports Department. For this, instructions have been given to prepare and send a proposal to the Union Ministry of Heavy Industries. Sarang said that the sports complex has almost all sports including cricket, golf, volleyball, basketball, tennis, table tennis, hockey, athletics, kabaddi. It will be made better by upgrading the complex and sports facilities. This will be a big gift in the heart of the city for the residents and sports lovers of Bhopal including Madhya Pradesh. This will not only benefit the people of BHEL township but the citizens of Bhopal will also get its benefit. Minister Sarang said that if the cricket stadium is upgraded in BHEL Sports Complex, then cricket talents will benefit from it. The standards of the ground for cricket are complete, fund will be arranged to expand the rest of the facilities like stands etc. Minister Sarang said that the Sports Complex will be operated by the Sports Department in collaboration with BHEL. This will lead to upgradation at lesser cost and people will be benefited. He said that a proposal is being sent to bring the Sports Complex under the Sports Department. For this, a joint inspection has been undertaken with all the officials.
