Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has instructed to quarterly evaluate registration rates for immovable properties. He suggested that rates should be increased in areas where market prices have risen due to development and other activities, ensuring the adjustment is proportionate. He directed the Commercial Tax Department to focus on identifying tax evasion cases and taking decisive action, recommending the enhancement of technical capabilities of field officers through IT platforms, including data analysis. Dr. Yadav also stressed the importance of transparency in all proceedings and called for the appointment of only those with outstanding performance in audit and circles to the Anti-Evasion Bureau. Additionally, he recommended a rotation policy for the posting of concerned officers. The Chief Minister urged that businessmen who comply with tax regulations should be honored and rewarded. He also called for a review of state government schemes that may require reconsideration, ensuring they are aligned with contemporary circumstances. Dr. Yadav emphasized the need to make every effort to increase the states income sources and control expenditure without impacting development projects. These directives were issued during a review meeting of the Commercial Tax Department at Mantralaya, where Deputy Chief Minister Shri Jagdish Deora, Chief Secretary Smt. Veera Rana, and other officials were present. The applicability of the Uttar Pradesh model in excise policy should be tested Chief Minister Yadav emphasized the need for all possible measures to be taken to control illegal liquor activities and excise-related crimes. He said to study the Uttar Pradesh model of excise policy to assess its applicability in Madhya Pradesh. During the meeting, it was reported that, in line with Chief Minister Dr. Yadavs announcement in Narmadapuram, liquor shops have been relocated 1.5 kilometers outside the city limits. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that prompt and effective action should be taken on complaints concerning liquor shops located near educational institutions and religious places. During the meeting, it was reported that all bars and liquor shops in the state have been geo-tagged, and the entire process—ranging from production to distribution and sale of liquor—is being monitored through the e-Excise portal. Additionally, the state has initiated the production of heritage liquor from Mahua. Digitalization of registered documents and geo-referencing of properties in progress Chief Minister  Yadav said that better seating arrangements for the parties should be ensured in the registration offices and the sensitive and welfare aspect of governance and the policy of zero tolerance against corruption is reflected in the functioning of the department. In the meeting, information about the work of digitalization of physically registered documents and geo-referencing of properties was presented. Chief Minister Yadav said that after registration of documents for transfer of agricultural land, the process of automatic transfer of name through cyber tehsil should be expanded to the entire state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that industrial and business activities should be encouraged in the state. This will increase tax collection and increase the income of the state.
