Rotary Clubs activities are praiseworthy: Chief Minister

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav today addressed the representatives of the Intercity Literacy Program run by Rotary Club Ujjain today through a video conference. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav joined the VC from Samatva Bhawan at the Chief Ministers residence and sought information about the work being done by the Rotary Club in the field of education and health and appreciated their projects. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that one gets the birth as a human being after performing good deeds for many births. Along with this, one also gets the opportunity to be of service to others. One can become a human being by ones good deeds. Good deeds make a man next to God. A God or deity has the spirit of giving. Yadav praised the Rotary Club members for preparing infrastructure for charitable work like blood donation in Ujjain and starting a dialysis facility for patients in Ratlam. Yadav said that Ujjain is also known as Avantika, which means endless. Ujjain has been important in every era. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav urged the representatives who came to Ujjain for the Rotary Club program from other places, to visit sites like Science City, Planetarium, and the Vedic Clock. The initiative to build a Science city in Ujjain has been instrumental in making it a religious city apart from being a Science City. Yadav said that Ujjain has a glorious past. Lord Krishna came here to pursue education. The work being done by the Rotary Club in the field of education will become an inspiration for other institutions. Yadav wished for the success of the programs and projects of the Rotary Club. Avinash Gupta, Coordinator along with other officers and members were present in the program.Chief Minister Dr. STAFF REPORTER n BHOPAL   Mohan Yadav said that the state government will establish a committee dedicated to promote the ideals, principles, and legacy of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai among the public. This committee will organize ongoing programmes to achieve its mission, with official orders regarding its formation to be issued soon. Dr. Yadav emphasized that Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai serves as an inspiration and role model for everyone. Her unique and compassionate governance has earned her a distinguished place in the nations history, and she remains a revered figure in Sanatan Dharma. Yadav delivered his address at the Gunijan Samman, Award Distribution, and Punya Smaran Samaroh, held in Indore to commemorate the 229th death anniversary of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar. During the event, Dr. Yadav presented the Gunijan Samman to Shriyut Shrikant Vasudev, recognized for his work in Scheduled Tribe-dominated areas. As part of the month-long Ahilya Utsav, various competitions were organized, and Dr. Yadav awarded prizes to the winners. In a display of deep respect, Dr. Yadav participated in the Yatra of Maa Ahilyabai Holkars Palki, personally lifting the palanquin to initiate the procession. He also paid tribute to Maa Ahilyabai Holkar by offering his respects to her portrait. Yadav highlighted the historical significance of Indore, noting that it was once ruled by Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, a leader known for her justice, organizational skills, and generosity. Her governance, guided by her devotion to Lord Shiva, has left a lasting mark on the nation. The work she did in womens empowerment and water conservation continues to inspire us today. Devi Ahilyabai Holkar also made significant contributions to cultural and religious activities across the country. Her life, work and ideals remain a source of inspiration for all. To further promote her legacy, the state government is forming a committee dedicated to spreading her principles, personality, and accomplishments to the public. Former Lok Sabha Speaker Smt. Sumitra Mahajan praised Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, describing her as a divine figure who has provided us with a new direction in the field of water conservation. Inspired by her efforts, a campaign was launched in Indore district, resulting in the deepening of over 200 ponds through public participation. She emphasized that the festival of Devi Ahilyabai is a celebration for the entire society, where people from all walks of life—across every caste, religion, and age group—come together with enthusiasm and devotion. Smt. Mahajan noted that Indore has always been blessed by the sacred power of Mother Ahilyabai and expressed confidence that by adhering to her path and principles, the city will continue to reach new heights. Ahilya Utsav Samitis Executive President Ashok Daga delivered the welcome address. On this occasion, Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silawat, MP Shankar Lalwani, Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava, Shiv Ganga Abhiyan chief Mahesh Sharma, Yashwantrao Holkar (III) and a large number of citizens were present.
