A couple living in Tilajamalpura committed suicide on Thursday night. Police suspect the incident, as their family members took the bodies to Hamidia hopistal, claiming that the couple was found hanging. SHO Sarita Burman told that 29-year-old Ajay lived with his wife Damini in Harijan Basti of Tilajamalpura area. There used to be frequent disputes between the two. Ajay and Damini did love marriage. Police said that on Thursday evening, the family members brought Ajay and Damini to Hamidia Hospital in an unconscious state. The police were informed about the death of the couple living in Tilajamalpura area under suspicious circumstances at 7.50 pm. The police registered a case on the information of the hospital doctor and kept the body in the mortuary for postmortem. Police have started investigation of the case registered after information of Ajay and Daminis death under suspicious circumstances from Hamidia Hospital. In the initial interrogation, the family told the police that Ajay and Damini died due to hanging. Police will recorded statements of the family of Ajay and Damini after the postmortem report of both the bodies is received. Police said that Ajay used to work as a porter. After receiving information about Ajay and Daminis death under suspicious circumstances, the police team has inspected the spot of the incident. But, police has not found any suicide note from the spot.
