Students must maintain positive outlook, develop habit of listening

The Prestige Institute of Management and Research (PIMR) in Indore organized a grand Deeksharambh (orientation) ceremony to welcome the newly admitted students of BBA, the Department of Mass Communication, and the Department of Liberal Arts and Science at its undergraduate campus. The event began an exciting academic journey for the fresh batch of students. The newly admitted students were presented with Deeksharambh badges by the Chief Guest, special guests, Chairman of Prestige Education Foundation, Group Director, and Director of PIMR. The Chief Guest, Member of Parliament Shankar Lalwani, congratulated the new students and expressed his best wishes for their future endeavors at PIMR UG. While addressing students, Brajesh Pandey, Deputy Commissioner of Tribal Welfare, encouraged students to maintain a positive outlook. He emphasized that perseverance and a strong mindset are key to overcoming obstacles. Pandey shared the inspiring story of a tribal girl from Khargone district who, through sheer determination, cracked the IAS exam. He stressed the importance of cultivating good thoughts and positivity, urging students to spend less time on their mobile phones and more time reading newspapers to stay informed about global happenings. Davish Jain, Chairman of the Prestige Education Foundation and Chancellor of Prestige University, advised them to embrace continuous learning, stay ahead of industry trends and technological advancements, cultivate soft skills, and actively engage with faculty, alumni, and peers. Dr. Jain highlighted the importance of participating in various events to build a strong professional network and encouraged students to view challenges as opportunities for growth. Retired Major General Rajesh Chhabra imparted valuable life lessons to the students, urging them to keep pace with changing times by learning new skills and technologies. He emphasized the significance of learning from experiences outside the classroom in addition to the academic curriculum. Noted counseling psychologist Sandip Atre provided insights into achieving success and fulfillment.
