2nd day focuses on strategies to combat overcrowding at emergency

The second day of the EMINDIA24 Mega Conference continued with an in-depth discussion on "Strategies to Combat Overcrowding at Emergency Departments Across India." This significant event, held in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, under the patronage of ACEE, EMA, and INDUSEM, marks the 20th year of delivering a high-quality scientific symposium focused on emergency medicine. Professor (Dr.) Ajai Singh, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, expressed optimism about the outcomes of the discussions at the EMINDIA24 Mega Conference. He stated, "Today we will be able to conclude some fruitful outcomes." The session saw valuable contributions from professionals in the field of emergency medicine. Their insights and expertise are crucial in addressing the challenges faced by emergency departments across India. We are confident that these discussions will lead to significant improvements in emergency healthcare services. Dr. Vijay Shah from Gujarat highlighted the necessity of formulating a policy ensuring that no citizen of India is deprived of emergency treatment in any hospital across the country. "We need to frame a policy so that any citizen of India is not deprived of emergency treatment in any hospital across the country," he said. Dr. Sanjeev Bhoi from AIIMS New Delhi and Director of the World Health Organization Collaborating Center for the South-East Asia Region, emphasized the importance of trained manpower in handling emergency situations. "A trained manpower to handle the emergency situation is the need of the hour," stated Dr. Bhoi. Professor (Dr.) Yunus, Head of the Trauma and Emergency Medicine Department, underscored the significance of the national consultation in developing effective strategies to tackle overcrowding at emergency departments in India. "This national consultation will definitely help in making effective strategies to combat overcrowding at emergency departments in India," he remarked. EMINDIA24, the Mega Conference of Emergency Medicine in India, features multiple workshops, symposia, and curated talks from speakers across the country, all focused on the practice and advancements in emergency medicine.
