It is raining continuously in most of the districts of Madhya Pradesh,  Bhopals Upper Lake has reached full water level, its capacity is 1666.80 feet. Water is being released by opening 4 gates of Kolar Dam in Bhopal, 10 of Kaliyasot, 6 of Bhadbhada, 9 of Tawa Dam in Narmadapuram, 8 of Rajghat in Ashoknagar, 7 of Bargi in Jabalpur, 6 of Barna Dam in Raisen, 2 of Halali Dam in Vidisha and 4 gates of Machagora Dam in Chhindwara. After the flood in the Richhan river of Raisen, two people crossing the culvert swept away. One youth was rescued, the other is missing. The roof of the house collapsed in Bhitarwar of Gwalior district. Two women and a child were injured after being buried under the debris, who have been referred to Gwalior for treatment. Sehore has been experiencing heavy and sometimes slow rains for two days. In view of this, Collector Praveen Singh has also declared Saturday a holiday in Anganwadis and schools. One and a quarter inches of rainfall was recorded in Bhopal and Narsinghpur on Friday. Sidhi received the highest rainfall of 3.7 inches, 3 inches of rain was recorded in Raisen and Satna, 1 inch in Pachmarhi, Tikamgarh, and 45 inches in Ratlam, Ujjain and Malajkhand. Rains also continued in Betul, Narmadapuram, Dhar, Rewa, Umaria, Guna, Indore, Shivpuri, Chhindwara, Damoh, Jabalpur, Khajuraho, Mandla. Water is being released by opening 7 sluice gates of Bargi Dam in Jabalpur and 9 sluice gates of Tawa Dam in Narmadapuram. Senior meteorologist  said that on Thursday the monsoon trough was over MP. The active cyclonic circulation system in West Bengal has started coming towards MP. Another cyclonic circulation is over North-East Rajasthan. Two other systems are also active. Due to this, the rain continued in the state. This time the monsoon became active in Madhya Pradesh on June 21. More than half of the monsoon rain has already occurred in June-July. According to the Meteorological Department, the average rainfall should have been 18.1 inches till now but 19.7 inches of water fell. In this way, 1.6 inches more rain has fallen. This is 9 percent more. The highest rainfall in the state was 32 inches in Seoni district. This is 10.80 inches more than the quota of rain. Mandla, Narmadapuram, Bhopal, Raisen and Chhindwara are such districts where the rainfall is 25 inches or more. Rewa is the most backward district. Only 8 inches of rain has fallen here. So far, the state has received 9 percent more rainfall overall. In this, 2 percent more rain has fallen in the eastern part and 15 percent more rain has fallen in the western part.
