State Cabinet expresses grief over Hathras incident

The Cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, began with Vande Mataram in the committee room of the Assembly. In his address before the meeting, Chief Minister Yadav expressed his sorrow over the tragic incidents in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, where a stampede during a Satsang resulted in the untimely demise of devotees, and in Indore, where children in an orphanage lost their lives. Yadav announced that the Indore district administration has been instructed to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident and take action against the institutions manager. He also mentioned that a woman from Gwalior was among the victims in the Hathras incident. Dr. Yadav directed that an initial financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh each be provided to the families of the deceased woman from Gwalior and the children from Indore. Yadav instructed the Chief Secretary that the district administration should co-ordinate with all the major events in the state.
