Garbage collection vehicle catches fire at Mehta market, no casualties

A garbage collection vehicleÂ (Tata Magic van) caught fire at Mehta Market in Bhopal, the driver and helper saved their lives by jumping. The helpers hands got burnt while extinguishing the fire. The fire completely destroyed the Magic within a few minutes. The incident took place near Mehta Market of Ward-44. At around 11.30 in the morning, the garbage van was coming from Dana Pani area towards Mehta Market during which it caught fire. Before driver Rohit and helper Aditya could understand anything, the fire became severe. Due to which both of them stopped the car and jumped out to save their lives. Aditya got burnt while extinguishing the fire Zone-12 AHO Ravi Batham said that the vehicle was empty. Driver Rohit and helper Aditya were coming towards Mehta Market after filling diesel from Dana-Pani. Then the fire broke out. How did the fire start? This could not be ascertained. Helper Adityas hands are burnt. Who was taken to a private hospital. He is fine now. Fire brigade extinguished the fire As soon as information about the fire was received, the fire brigade reached the spot and brought the fire under control. However, by then the magic was completely burnt by the fire. The flames rose up to 8 to 10 feet.
