CEO expresses grief over death of teacher

Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan has expressed deep condolence on the untimely death of teacher Vineet Kumar Malviya during training for Lok Sabha elections on April 3 in Sohagpur tehsil of Narmadapuram district. He said that this is a very sad incident. Rajan has prayed to God to grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the family to bear the loss. Following a discussion with Collector Narmadapuram on April 3 itself, Rajan gave instructions to send necessary documents regarding ex-gratia amount to be given to the family of the deceased employee soon. It may be noted that the deceased will be given an ex-gratia amount of Rs 15 lakh by the Election Commission of India. Keeping in view the heat, Chief Electoral Officer Rajan has directed all the collectors and district election officers to ensure that a medical team is compulsorily available on the spot during the election training. With this, if any employee suddenly becomes ill, he will be able to get immediate treatment.
