Two share top position in Bareilly city with 98% marks in CBSE Class X exams

Bareilly/Pilibhit: Rajat Varwar of Kendriye Vidyalaya, NER, and Arpita Saxena of Brij Bhushan Lal Public School shared top position in the city with both scoring 98% marks in the CBSE Class X exams, results of which were declared on Tuesday.Soon after appearing for his Class X board exams, Rajat moved to Jaipur to join coaching classes for cracking the IIT exam. SR International School’s topper Aditya Tyagi got 97.2% while Alveera Khan with 96.6% topped in Bishop Conrad Senior Secondary School. His father, Haricharan Meena who is a nursing superintendent at NER Hospital, said, “Due to weather change during exam time, Rajat was taken ill. He had high fever for three days and complained of cold, cough and weakness for the entire month.

Yet, he was able to perform well in the exams because he had regularly studied round the year.’’Aparna Saxena, principal of KV, NER, said Rajat has bagged the first rank among students of KVs in Lucknow region.Elated with her marks, Arpita who dreams of becoming a chartered accountant, said, “The success mantra for exams is to be stress-free, time management and study under the guidance of teachers.’’With 97.8% of marks, Pragya Pal bagged the first rank at St Francis Convent School. “I never took stress during or before the exams. I believe that even if we are studying for 15 minutes, we should focus on it,’’ said Pragya, whose aim is to become an architecture.Brij Bhushan Lal Public School’s Agam Raizada who secured 97.8% advised his juniors to complete revision of the syllabus before time and spend one month solving model question papers. Agam wants to become an IAS officer after pursuing BTech.Tushar Prasad of St Francis Convent School who got 97.6% said, “Music is the best therapy to de-stress and I always listened to old songs while preparing for exams. Watching TV also helped me.’’Varsha Singh, who topped Shri Gulab Rai Montessori Senior Secondary School, with 97.4% said, “I never took any coaching classes as it is a waste of time and money. I even logged out myself from social media platforms to concentrate on my studies.’’Taskheer Fatima occupied the first position at Padmavati Academy with 97.4%. SR International School’s topper Aditya Tyagi got 97.2% while Alveera Khan with 96.6% topped in Bishop Conrad Senior Secondary School. Aishwarya Maurya and Saumya Sharma bagged the first rank at Radha Madhav Public School and Madhavrao Scindia Public School respectively by securing 96.8%.Meanwhile, in neigbouring Pilibhit, 1,613 students of CBSE-affiliated schools had appeared for the exam this year and 1,597 of them passed it.The top two positions were bagged by students of Ben-Hur Public school of Pilibhit city while a student of St Aloysius College bagged the third place.Utkarsha Verma of Ben-Hur school secured 97.33% marks while Vansh Thapar and Aradhya Sharma of the same school shared the second position with 97.17% marks each. A student of St. Aloysius College, Vaishnav was placed third with 96.6% marks.Utkarsha, the daughter of Reena and Satish Verma of Pilibhit city, gives credit to her parents and teachers for her success. She aspires to become an IAS officer.
