A few days ago, the Durgiana Temple committee had expressed regret that it was unable to organise Chhath ‘puja’ this year. Now, on the demand of devotees, the committee has made temporary arrangements. Small artificial water ponds have been created using tarpaulin. Moreover, open water channels being constructed under beautification schemes would also be used to celebrate the festival. Ramesh Sharma, president, Sri Durgiana Mandir Committee, said, “ We have made the necessary arrangements. The water level in the pond is insufficient. We have installed lights and arranged food for devotees.” It is worth mentioning here that after cleaning of talab (holy pond) in March, the temple committee has been filling it with water, but the water level is still quite low.
