Almost all the social media pages are filled with aesthetic pictures of a travel destination known only to a few. But beauty is in the eyes of a beholder! For many Palace can be a bit boring but anyone can make it a fun trip by carrying in a camera and doing a legit photo shoot around!

If you have great outfits but you cannot pick good backgrounds for a photoshoot, we recommend looking around for ancient gates and walls around you that will give a feel of history and make up for a perfect backdrop.

While doing that, we recommend some of our favourite, most exquisite looking Palace in the country, in case you plan for your next trip soon! These destinations are filled with an array of things to do other than just pretty Palaces, making them a wonderful choice to pick.

 

1.     City Palace, Jaipur

City palace is home to some of the most beautifully painted walls and gates. The detail and artwork are almost unreal. It feels like a gate to paradise if you stand and observe for a long time. These gates will make for a perfect backdrop for any picture.

The famous Peacock, Lotus, Rose and Leheriya gates have adorned the front cover of famous novels and magazines. This beautiful palace will leave one mesmerised and with some great pictures, for sure.

2.     Amer Fort, Jaipur

The beautiful arch doorways with benches placed right beside, this is what looks like when one enters the Amer Fort for the first time. After which the series of brilliantly crafted gates and corridors don’t end.  The courtyard of Diwan-E-Aam is marked by 27 columns, each with an elephant-shaped capital. It also has rooms leading off that were used by royalty.

The courtyard at the Mansingh Palace, Amer Fort, is surrounded by balconies on the first floor and has doors overlooking the central pavilion. The walls are decorated with floral patterned frescoes.

3.      Mysore Palace, Mysuru

Wooden shielded doors, vibrant walls adorned with gold paints and huge chandeliers with ancient mirrors on every corner of the Palace. Mysore Palace makes for one of the best photoshoot spots in the country. The palace is constantly renovated making it look as good as new always, without losing the touch of the past.

If you wait for the surge of a crowd to move past, you might get a chance to click some of the mirror selfies with the beautiful backdrops.

4.      Chhetinad Palace, Tamil Nadu

Located in the Sivaganga district of Tamil Nadu, the majestic architecture of Chettinad Palace is a beautiful example of the indigenous Chettinad architecture. Adorned with embellishments from all over the world, this mighty edifice dates back to the year 1912.

A perfect gateway with No entry fees, if you are visiting this southern state, make a detour and catch in some of the wonders of the architecture of this Palace.

5.      Jai Vilas Palace, Gwalior

The Jai Vilas Palace also known as the Jai Vilas Mahal is a serene beauty that takes one`s breath away. Established in 1874 by Jayajirao Scindia, the Maharaja of Gwalior, it is still the residence of his descendants, the former royal Maratha Scindia dynasty. The European architecture of this palace in India was designed and built with keeping the master skills of architecture in mind that one can find here.

The vibrant garden and grand water fountain add to the overall beauty of the Palace that also makes for a great backdrop to get some shoot done.
