This year the theme for World Environment Day is Beat Plastic Pollution. Apart from going through the messages, here’s what you can do on daily basis to curb plastic pollution.
By now, your Instagram feed, Facebook timeline and Whatsapp Groups would have been flooded with Environment Day 2018 musings. Some must be reminding you how important is the day while others must be trying to convince how brutal you have been towards the Environment. This year the theme for World Environment Day is Beat Plastic Pollution. Apart from going through the messages, here’s what you can do on daily basis to curb plastic pollution.
Look for packages that aren’t packed too much in plastic. Take up food in glass jars rather than plastic ones, and detergents in boxes rather than bottles.
Plastic bags are harmful for the environment as a waste product and for the animals as well.
Summers are here and you need to drink water but be cautious for your use and throw bottles are causing havoc to nature.
It is seen that most of the tourist places are littered with straws and of course you do without them. So next time when you are vacationing, make sure that you don’t take up straws.
Parties are fun, but after parties can be really gruesome because of the aftermath that the host goes through. Mountains of dishes and chaotic litter. So next time make sure that you reduce litter by saying no to disposables. Ask your guest to refill their glasses and plates as many times as they want without throwing garbage here and there.
Electronic waste is also increasing day by day, thus before you buy up electronic stuff make sure you really need the wires for they are creating a havoc to the environment.
So don’t wait for World Environment Day, do your bit on daily basis and be a blessing to the environment.
