The month of August, the 8th month of the English calendar, has started yesterday. The month continues with the occasion of Sawan, the worship of Lord Shiva continues for a month. The holy Kavand Yatra is organized in the month of Sawan. But due to the Covid pandemic across the states have canceled the yatra and have increased restrictions.  The entire month of Sawan is considered to be the best for the worship of Lord Shiva. This is the reason why Shiva devotees wait for this month throughout the year.  

 In the month of August, fasts, and festivals like Shravan Putrada Ekadashi, Hariyali Amavasya, Hariyali Teej, Sawan Shivaratri, Sawan Pradosh Vrat, Nag Panchami, Shravan Purnima, Raksha Bandhan, Shri Krishna Janmashtami, Vinayaka Chaturthi, Muharram are about to come.
