`They Will Run Bulldozer On Ram Temple If Voted To Power`: PM Modi Blasts Congress-SP In UP`s Barabanki

PM Modi UP Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a rally in Uttar Pradeshs Barabanki on Friday, claimed that the Congress and Samajwadi Party will run a bulldozer over the Ram temple if elected to power. Adding, the prime minister said the INDIA bloc is in the fray to create "instability" in the country. As the elections progress, these INDI alliance people have started collapsing like a pack of cards," he added. He further accused SP and Congress of surrendering to appeasement politics. Referring to recent remarks by SP leader Ram Gopal Yadav over Ram Temple, PM Modi said "Nothing is bigger than a vote bank for the SP-Congress," Modi said, "But when I expose them, they become restless and lose sleep. They start saying anything and start hurling abuses." ALSO READ: Air India Flight With 180 Passengers Onboard Collides With Tractor At Pune Airport Recently, the SP leader courted controversy with his remarks that the Ram temple in Ayodhya is "bekaar (useless)" as it has not been properly constructed, which brought sharp criticism from Adityanath who said this shows the "reality" of INDIA bloc. Mocking SP chief Akhilesh Yadavs alliance with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, whom he referred to as Yadavs "new aunt," PM Modi insinuated that Yadavs political alliances were driven solely by self-interest. He also ridiculed the internal conflicts within the opposition alliance, citing the discord between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress in Punjab and their unrealistic aspirations for the prime ministers post. Meanwhile, the prime minister targeted the opposition on the issue of reservation, and said, "When the Constitution was made, the Constituent Assembly had decided that there would be no reservation based on religion. But, 10 years ago these people (Congress) had tried to give reservations based on religion. They have even done this in Karnataka. There they made all the Muslims OBC overnight. They looted a huge portion of the reservation given to OBCs." Barabanki To Go To Poll On May 20 Barabanki will vote in the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha elections in the state on May 20. The main contest in Barabanki is between Tanuj Punia of the Congress and BJPs Rajrani Rawat. Tanuj Punia is the son of senior Congress leader PL Punia, a former Lok Sabha MP from Barabanki (SC) Lok Sabha seat. (With PTI Inputs)
