If we look at the Lok Sabha elections from 1962 to 2019, 15 candidates have won by less than 500 votes. Two candidates won the election by just nine votes. Lets look at these interesting statistics: Leaders Who Won With Least Number Of Votes Congress leader Konathala Ramakrishna and late BJP leader Som Marandi hold the record of winning elections with the least number of votes. In 1989, Konathala Ramakrishna won the election from Anakapalli Lok Sabha constituency of Andhra Pradesh by just nine votes. In 1998, Som Marandi won the Rajmahal seat by just nine votes.
