National Children’s Day 2017: Parental guidance that will steer your child towards a shining future

The nation celebrates children’s day with much excitement and vigour. Schools organize children specific events, movies to motivate the torch bearers of the future generation.  However, not every time are we all ears to whatever bothers them. Most of the parents are in the habit of ignoring their petty issues as nuisance or childhood habits. The reality, however, is children undergo problems that come in the way of their growing and establishing a successful career in future.

Bullying and peer pressure in school/colleges, aggression and violence from adolescents and temper tantrums from children, excessive TV viewing, sibling rivalry and unhealthy competition, sleeping disorders, panic attacks, poor school performance, speech problems, low self-esteem, poor concentration anxiety, body image issues and interpersonal relationship issues are some of the problems children face in their life.

 The parents today have to don the hat of a friend, philosopher and guide. With a more dynamic educational environment wherein the children are taught to be independent and to take decisions on their own, the parent’s role diminishes. Involved parents, know their children the best and along with vital information about new career choices they can facilitate the process of career selection for them.
