After all the fun you had on the weekend, working on Monday is always a problem. You are still in spirits of last night and the work pressure with the long weekdays ahead can get on your nerves. The usual routine can also be really monotonous. For following the same pattern for days, weeks and months could be really hard. Feeling lost at work or don’t feel like working is pretty normal. But you can overcome the Monday blues with some really simple doable things.
Have a relaxing start
Having bad headaches (for obvious reasons) on Mondays is quite common compelling you to hit the snooze button for 3 consecutive times. And when the alarm bell rings for the 4th time you rush like a zombie. Well, that’s the moment you ruin your day. Instead, plan a better weekend, have a relaxed morning on Monday and see how the day unfolds easily. Get up a bit early, prepare your favourite breakfast and kick-start the week perfectly.
Get rid of dull boring stuff
All through the week, you pile up a lot of dull boring stuff like unwanted papers, sticky notes. Clean the mess up as soon as you reach your office and put some cool desk goodies. What about some, evil rabbit or a bright red flash poster? Sounds good? Make your corner an attractive one.
Divide your work into segments
Completing a whole file in one day is not possible and looks a Hercules task. But what if you could divide your work into small segments and complete it one by one. Fair deal, isn’t it? Complete your work step by step and chill at your workstation.
Eating at desk is a strict NO
Eating making you sluggish and you know that. So make sure that you don’t eat at your desk. Because it fills the place with the smell of food, making you feel sleepy in turn. Have a quick bite away from your station and boost up your spirits.
Be a helping hand
It may sound too moral and ancient for office but it does help. Not everybody is good with everything, and accepting that could be a little difficult. Help your colleague with something and it will help you release stress. You never know next time when you are having some difficult time you can get help without even asking for it.
