Another KKR player Covid-19 positive, a day after India call-up

IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders and the Indian cricket team's fast bowler Prasidh Krishna has tested positive for Covid-19. Krishna is the fourth KKR Player to contract Covid-19 after New Zealand batsmen Tim Seifert, Sandeep Warrier and Varun Chakravarthy.

A day earlier, Prasidh Krishna was selected as a stand-by bowler in the Indian team for the final match of the World Test Championship and five-match Test series against England. However, he has got a place in the team as a standby bowler. Apart from Krishna, the selectors have also included Abhimanyu Eswaran, Avesh Khan and Arjan Nagwaswala in the team as standby players.

The final match of the World Test Championship between India and New Zealand is going to held in Southampton on 18 June, while the five-match Test series against England will begin in Nottingham on August 4, the second Test between the two countries will be played at Lords on 12–16 August, the third at Leeds on 25–29 August, the fourth at the Oval on 2–6 September and the fifth at Manchester from 10–14 September.
