The 12th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is approaching fast and though the schedule is yet to be finalised, the teams have started to gear up for the tournament. The camps of certain teams with the local players have started while some of the cricketers are still busy playing in some tournaments. Darshan Nalkande is one of those who was bagged by the franchise for Rs 30 Lakhs in the auction last year in December. The all-rounder has played only a handful of matches in the domestic circuit but boasts of a brilliant record for India U19 and this was the same reason that the franchise went for him in the auction. Darshan seems to be in the right frame of mind with only more than a month for the season to commence. In a local tournament, he was seen shining with both bat and ball and the KXIP seems to be delighted. In the first video, Darshan, the 20-year-old, was seen smashing a scintillating six to the left-arm spinner and the KXIP captioned the shot as, "Our Shera, Darshan Nalkande, does know how to use the long handle #SaddaSquad #LivePunjabiPlayPunjabi." Nalkande didn't stop here and also showed his prowess with the ball. He bowled an exceptional delivery to the right-handed batsman to dismiss him. The ball pitched on a length and perfectly in line with the off-stump even as the batsman went for heave with the bat face, not in the correct direction. In the process, he completely missed the line of the delivery only to see his middle and off-stump go for a toss. His all-round show has left the fans thrilled and the same is the case with the KXIP franchise as the season is arriving fast now.
