Thiruvananthapuram: More than five passenger trains will be cancelled and train service will be regulated in Thiruvananthapuram division of Southern Railway from March 25 to 31, due to pre-commissioning works of the newly constructed double line between Ettumanur and Kuruppanthara.Train No.56387/56388 Ernakulam-Kayamkulam- Ernakulam Passenger (via Kottayam), Train No.66300/66301 Kollam-Ernakulam- Kollam MEMU (via Kottayam) and Train No.66307/66308 Ernakulam-Kollam- Ernakulam MEMU (via Kottayam) will be cancelled from March 25 to 31.Also, Train No.56380/56381 Kayamkulam-Ernakulam- Kayamkulam Passenger (via Alappuzha), Train No.56382 Kayamkulam-Ernakulam Passenger (via Alappuzha) and Train No.66302/66303 Kollam-Ernakulam- Kollam MEMU (via Alappuzha) will be cancelled from March 27 to 31.Train No.16382 Kanyakumari-Mumbai CSMT Jayanti express will be diverted via Alappuzha. Train No. 17230 Hyderabad-Thiruvananthapuram Weekly express will also be diverted via Alappuzha with two minutes additional temporary stoppage at Ernakulam Junction, Cherthala, Alappuzha, Ambalapuzha and Haripad.Train No. 22647 Korba-Thiruvananthapuram Bi-Weekly train will be diverted via Alappuzha from March 25 and 29.Train No. 16650 Nagercoil-Mangalore Parasuram Express, Train No. 17229 Thiruvananthapuram-Hyderabad Sabari Express, Train No. 12202 Kochuveli-Lokmanyatilak Garibrath Express, Train No. 12625 Thiruvananthapuram-New Delhi Kerala Express and Train No. 12626 New Delhi-Thiruvananthapuram Kerala Express will be diverted via Alappuzha on March 31.Train No. 12625 Thiruvananthapuram-New Delhi Kerala Express will be regulated at Kottayam for one hour on March 25 and 26 and for 1 hour 15 minutes from March 27 to 30.Train No. 17230 Hyderabad-Thiruvananthapuram Sabari express will be regulated for one hour at Kuruppanthara on March 25 and 26. Due to work of road-under-bridge and Yard modification at Ettumanoor, Train No. 16301 Shoranur-Thiruvananthapuram Venad Express and Train No. 16649 Mangalore-Nagercoil Parasuram Express will skip i Ettumanoor station from March 31 to May 1. tnn
