Rohit Dhavan alias Prithvi Amin, a resident of Vasai , and his accomplice, Rumit Shah, a resident of Bhayander, used to purchase used cars and resell them by fabricating documents.Amin had cleared his UPSC preliminary exams, while Shah is an MCom employed with a reputed company.DCP (crime) Deepak Deoraj said they used to monitor the portal and look for people who wanted to sell cars which had a loan pending. “They purchased the cars by paying Rs25,000-35,000.
