SHIMLA: After denying the ticket to sitting MP Virender Kashyap from Shimla (SC) parliamentary seat and fielding Pachchad MLA Suresh Kashyap in his place, BJP organised a joint press conference of the two leaders on Friday.To show their unity, both leaders said instead of a “majboor sarkar” (helpless government) this time, the Centre needed a “majboot sarkar” (strong government). Virender said instead of him, the party had given the ticket to Suresh Kashyap and he supported the party’s decision.He said during his tenure, he raised the issue of providing scheduled tribe status to the Hatti community along with other issues.The MP added that the issue was in the final stage.
