Navy detects 2 more bodies in North east mine

SHILLONG: A day after Navy and NDRF personnel retrieved the second body from the flooded coal mine in Meghalaya , it was identified as that of Dimonme Dkhar a labourer from Lumthari village in East Jaintia Hills district The Navy team has detected two more bodies inside the mine. Dimonme was one of three brothers trapped in the mine on December 13 last year, when the waters of Lytein River breached points and flooded it along with nearby, connected mines.The fate of Dimonme's elder brother Melambok and cousin Shalabas remains unknown.
