CEO, State Police Nodal Officer hold review meeting with DEOs, SPs

Chief Electoral Officer K. Ravi Kumar today said that the officers should ensure to give concrete shape to the preparations for the assembly elections in the state. He said that keeping in mind the complaints received through various means in the last Lok Sabha elections, ensure preparations for the upcoming assembly elections. Ensure strong management of security in the upcoming assembly elections. The CEO was holding a review meeting with District Election Officers and Superintendents of Police of all districts through online medium from Election House today on various subjects related to Lok Sabha election related matters and preparations for the upcoming assembly elections. The CEO said that a certificate must be taken from all BLOs and BLO supervisors that not a single wrong deletion has been made in the voter list in their area. He said that preparations should be made to strengthen all security standards with zero risk in the election. Ensure webcasting at all check posts. He said that all enforcement agencies will strongly ensure that there is no illegal transaction or movement in the state and strictly prohibit it. On this occasion, the CEO reviewed the ASD list, wrong deletion in voter list, security management, movement of illegal materials etc. point-wise and gave necessary guidelines. On this occasion, State Police Nodal Officer AV Homkar, DIG Dhananjay Kumar Singh, DIG Indrajit Mahatha, DIG Ashwini Kumar Sinha, OSD Geeta Chaubey, Assistant Chief Electoral Officer Dev Das Dutta and other election related officials were present. Meanwhile addressing a training session of Nodal Officer of Training Cell, SLMT, DLMT, Deputy Election Officer and ALMT the CEO said that it is the duty of all the officials associated with the election to ensure error-free election process in the upcoming assembly elections. He said that there are clear guidelines of the Commission on every point for the election process. The goal of clean, fair, peaceful and error-free election can be achieved by following the clear guidelines of the Commission. The CEOs office has organized a two-day training session in different batches of election-related officials for the upcoming assembly elections. This training session is scheduled from 26 to 29 September. During the training, Kumar drew the attention of the officials to the minor errors in various election related activities like sitting arrangement of polling stations, checking of EVM-VVPAT, packing of election material, ASD list, adding new voters and gave point-wise training on how to avoid it. In the training session the officials were trained by the national level trainers on various topics like duties and responsibilities of polling parties, EVM/VVPAT for polling parties, voter polling time management, web-casting on polling day, poll eve and poll day duties of BLOs, duties of volunteers, role and responsibilities of micro observers, responsibilities of sector officer on poll eve, responsibilities of sector officer on poll day, mistakes, errors and IT applications by sector officer, postal ballots, duties and responsibilities of FST, duties and responsibilities of SST, responsibilities of VST, VVT and AT, duties of EVM cum Material Receipt Centre Officer and staff, control room and poll day monitoring system app, form filling, sealing and packing. In the training session, the officials were trained by Additional Chief Electoral Officer Dr. Neha Arora, Joint Chief Electoral Officer Subodh Kumar, national level trainers Geeta Chaubey, Mahendra Kumar, Dev Das Dutta, Mrityunjay Kumar and Sunil Kumar Singh from the Chief Electoral Office while district level trainers Sudip Sahay, Ashwini Kumar Tiwari trained the officials.
