Gujarat BJP president’s son caught copying in college exam

RAJKOT: In a huge embarassment for state BJP president Jitu Vaghani, his son was caught copying in a college exam in Bhavnagar on Thursday.Mit Vaghani was caught copying red-handed in the first-year BCA exam conducted for repeaters in three colleges of Bhavnagar University. Mit was writing the exam in MJ College of Commerce.When contacted by TOI, Vaghani admitted that his son was caught copying. However, since he was caught red-handed, the supervisor referred the case to the principal. In all, four students caught copying in M J College of commerce on Thursday.College principal K S Vatalia handed over the names to the university’s vice-chancellor MJ Chavda in a sealed cover.However, both Vatalia and Chavda refused to share the names of the students with mediapersons. It is also alleged that Mit threatened the observer with dire consequences.

Mit was writing the exam in MJ College of Commerce.When contacted by TOI, Vaghani admitted that his son was caught copying. “I firmly believe that if he has done a mistake, he must face action as per the rules of the university and get blacklisted from taking exam for two years.”Vaghani added “ I hope people will appreciate the fact that despite being a senior BJP leader, I did not try to influence any process to save my son unlike Congress leaders who had done so in the past.”According to sources, Mit was caught with 27 chits by the lady block supervisor. It is also alleged that Mit threatened the observer with dire consequences. However, since he was caught red-handed, the supervisor referred the case to the principal. In all, four students caught copying in M J College of commerce on Thursday.College principal K S Vatalia handed over the names to the university’s vice-chancellor MJ Chavda in a sealed cover.However, both Vatalia and Chavda refused to share the names of the students with mediapersons.
