He had kept the arms at his farm,” said an official from Bhavnagar local crime branch.In the second seizure, a country-made pistol was recovered from Ajay Khuman (33), who was arrested from his residence in Vad village of Rajula taluka in Amreli district on Sunday morning. RAJKOT: Six persons were arrested with nine firearms one axe , one knife and three cartridges from different parts of Saurashtra in the past 24 hours.Police made the arrests and seizure, keeping in view the forthcoming Lok Sabha election.In the first incident, three country-made rifles and one country-made pistol were seized and the offender arrested from Rabarika village of Jesar taluka in Bhavnagar district on Saturday night.“We also found nine swords, two scythes, two spears, one axe and one knife on the accused, identified as Shivraj Vichhiya alias Munno (32). “During interrogation, Vishwakarma confessed to having committed thefts worth Rs 4 lakh from two factories,” said an official from Lodhika police station.The fourth seizure was reported from Nandanvan Road in Junagadh , where Yunus Sumara (30) was arrested with a country-made pistol and a cartridge on Saturday night.In Bhavnagar, the rapid response (RR) cell arrested Deven Dave alias Bhuro (22) with a country-made pistol and two cartridges from Chitra locality on Saturday night.In Kutch, Noormohemmed Sumra (29) was arrested with a country-made rifle from the outskirts of Dhaneti village of Bhuj taluka on Saturday night.
