Gurgaon: A 32-year-old woman from Noida has alleged that she was molested by the manager of a pub in Sector 29 market. She also accused two bartenders — one of them a woman — of misbehaviour. The woman alleged that the pub employees charged at her following confusion over the bill.An FIR was registered against the manager and the two bartenders under Section 354 (molestation) of the IPC at the Sector 29 police station on Monday morning. The complainant told the police that she, along with other 8-9 friends, had gone to the Feel Alive bar and restaurant on Sunday night. Around midnight, they asked the waiter for their bill.“We got the bill and there was some confusion regarding the amount. We were talking it out when the manager, another employee and a woman bartender came to argue. Soon they started misbehaving with me. They used abusive language, and the manager and his employee star-ted molesting me,” the woman alleged in her complaint. The bar authorities, however, denied the allegations of misbehavior and said the argument over the bill was being blown out of proportion.“A group of 8 or 9 people came to the restaurant. Most of them, except the woman and two others, left. The bill was Rs 8,441. They refused to pay and tried to leave,” Anil Bisht, the manager, told TOI.“One of them even stole a staffer’s mobile phone. We have CCTV footage to prove it. When we stopped them from leaving, they levelled false allegations,” he added. The police said the matter is under investigation. “We have asked the bar authorities to provide us the CCTV footage. We are verifying the facts and action will be taken as per the law,” said inspector Anil Kumar, SHO, Sector 29 police station.
