NOIDA: For the first time, the Central Pollution Control Board ( CPCB ) has responded to an online complaint made by a Noida resident and asked the district administration of Gautam Budh Nagar to take necessary action to check the validity of the complaint and send a report to the pollution control body.Noida-based citizen activist Amit Gupta had e-mailed a complaint to CPCB on January 20 in which he had sent visuals of the construction material causing dust pollution in sectors 26, 27, 51, 52, 53 and 77. In a letter dated February 14, the CPCB had advised the district magistrate to submit a report on the same areas on which the complaint had been raised.The CPCB had earlier informed that the citizens’ complaint would be addressed on a par with any other form of complaints when it comes to pollution issues.“The Noida Authority has to take close notice of these open violations of construction related pollution control rules,” said Anil Singh, regional officer of UPPCB, Gautam Budh Nagar.
