His uncle is an imam at a Delhi masjid.Sub-inspector Vinod Singh of Expressway police station told TOI on Wednesday that “a report has been prepared in the case” and it’s recommended that “it be now handled by Delhi Police”. “However, the report has to be ratified by senior officers,” he said. According to police, Basid’s last location was traced to Punjab. “His account details were checked and it was found that he had about Rs. 1,300 in his J-K Bank account, of which, he withdrew about Rs 1,000 from an ATM in Amritsar around 8.10 am on December 13. His location was then found in Ludhiana around 10 am,” another police official said.Cops had earlier suspected Basid disappeared out of fear of exams.
