Bijnor: Two police personnel, including a woman assistant sub inspector and a head constable were killed when an Uttarakhand’s road bus collided with a car in which they were travelling. The duo were relatives. They travelling from Kashipur to Dehradun when the incident took place.According to police, the deceased have been identified as Ganesh Bahuguna (58) of Rudrapur and his relative Mamta Dobhal (52) of Dehradun’s Shyam Nagar. They were travelling in a car to Dehradun from Kashipur. When they reached Dhampur, a roadways bus coming from opposite side collided with the car, resulting in the death of both on the spot in the wee hours of Saturday. The car was badly damaged in the accident.After receiving the information, police rushed to the spot and took the bodies of the deceased to district hospital for autopsy.Dhampur station house officer Sudhir Pal Dhama confirmed the incident and said, “Both the deceased were posted at Dehradun and relatives. Mamta Dobhal was assistant a sub inspector and Ganesh Bahuguna was a head-constable. Police have arrested the bus driver and bus has been seized.”
