SUK revises exam schedule staff needed for election work

This was announced in a circular from the university on March 11.Director Mahesh Kakade of the Board of Examinations and Evaluation, SUK, the university has 138 affiliated aided colleges and over 4,000 teaching and non-teaching staff will be called in for election duties on April 23, the day when polling will be held in Kolhapur and Hatkanagale constituencies. With that large chunk of manpower dedicated to polling, and busy on the day prior election and a day afterwards, re-scheduling the examination was the only option.Examinations that were scheduled from April 23 onwards will be rescheduled from April 25. Subjects for which examinations were to be held on those dates will be scheduled most likely at the end of the examination calendar. Dates will be announced later, Kakade said, adding that by May 23, when votes are set to be counted, the varsity will be done with almost 95% of its exams.The last date for submission of examination form was earlier March 5. That has now been extended to March 15, with a late fee. Students who have still not submitted forms should not wait any longer.
