Four headmasters suspended for violation of model code

Kanpur: Four government basic school head-masters, were suspended on Wednesday for allegedly violating the model code of conduct in Etawah.Basic Shiksha Adhikari Etawah, Ajay Kumar Singh confirmed that the head-masters were suspended for violation of the model code of conduct.Four head-masters, including Ram Kishore of Keshpur Vikas Khand Takha school, Shri Krishna of Nagla Bale school, Iliyas Mohammad of Vishun Pura school and Zubair Hanif of Nagla Dhakau basic school were suspended with immediate effect.The BSA had asked them to remove the pictures of ‘Lotus’ painted in rangoli on walls of the schools as it was against the model code of conduct.
“However, they did not pay heed to the orders following which they all have been placed under suspension,” said the BSA.District election office sources told TOI that a Congress leader had sumbmitted a complaint in this regard demanding strict action against the school authorities.
