KANPUR: Body of a 55-year-old engineer of National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) was found near Rasoolabad area of Kanpur Dehat on late Tuesday night.Police said Santosh Kumar Singh, who was employed as an engineer in NTPC Dibiyapur in Auraiya , had gone to meet his friend in Billhaur area of Kanpur on Tuesday evening. He was staying with his wife and two children in NTPC staff quarters in Dibiyapur.On Tuesday night, some locals came across the body of a man in Rasoolabad near Asalatganj-Billhaur road. The engineer's mobile phone was lying nearly 50 metres away from the spot his body was recovered. They summoned the police and the body was sent for post-mortem examination.Police also recovered his identity card, which helped in his identification. "His helmet was recovered from a nearby nullah, while his motorcycle was found to be parked at a distance of 100 metres," said a police official.
