JODHPUR: A passenger travelling in Ranakpur Express died after he fell off the train near Salawas here on Thursday afternoon. The passenger, believed to be sitting on the stairs of the train, could not be identified till late evening.SHO (GRP) Ravindra Bothra said that information was received that a body has been found between Salawas and Hanwant railway stations at about 4.00 pm. “On getting the information, we rushed there and found a man around the age of 30 years, lying dead near the railway tracks. He was believed to be travelling in a Bikaner-Bandra train (Ranakpur Express) and must have fallen off the train,” Bothra said.No belongings could be obtained by the sleuths that could tell his identity. The police and GRP are trying to identify the victim.On the other hand, one more person identified as Dungar Giri (35) was found dead on the railway tracks at Asaranada near Jodhpur on Thursday morning. He was run over by Salasar Express and cut into half. Bothra said that investigation is underway whether he was run over by the train accidentally or committed suicide.
