Hyderabad: In connection with local bodies electios, State Election Commissioner Nagi Reddy today held a meeting with Chief Secretary SK Joshi, DGP Mahender Reddy, district Collectors, SPs and panchayat officials at a hotel here on Thursday. The polls will be held in three phases for 539 ZPTCs and 5817 MPTCs in 32 districts of Telangana State. It is likely that the first phase of polls will be held on May 6, second phase on May 10 and third phase on May 14.

Hyderabad: In connection with local bodies electios, State Election Commissioner Nagi Reddy today held a meeting with Chief Secretary SK Joshi, DGP Mahender Reddy, district Collectors, SPs and panchayat officials at a hotel here on Thursday. Nagi Reddy directed all the officials to conduct ZPTCs and MPTCs polls smoothly. He also discussed sought to know about preparedness for the polls. He said the arrangements for the polls are nearing completion. Soon the Commission will issue a notification for ZPTC and MPTC polls, he said. The polls will be held in three phases for 539 ZPTCs and 5817 MPTCs in 32 districts of Telangana State. It is likely that the first phase of polls will be held on May 6, second phase on May 10 and third phase on May 14. Nagi Reddy asked the district officials to ensure peaceful and fair polls and avoid any sort of inconvenience to the voters. Put all facilities in place before the beginning of the polls, he said.
