HYDERABAD: TRS chief and CM K Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday went hammer and tongs at PM Narendra Modi and slammed BJP for its “political Hindutva and spreading hatred against other religions” at his election meeting in Nizamabad.“Hinduism teaches love. The Bhagavat Gita preaches love. But duplicate Hindus are spreading hatred by propagating that abusing Muslims and Christians is real Hinduism. In the name of Ram Janmabhoomi, the BJP is indulging in propagating their brand of religion,” KCR said. He also recited a Sanskrit shloka, explaining that Hinduism not only wishes that everyone should be happy, but the entire universe should also be happy.Reminding that he himself performs yagnams, KCR said the BJP does not have to tell people what Hinduism is. “Do not indulge in janmabhoomi politics. Do not play religious politics in the country,” he said.CM KCR speaks of economic reforms, slams ‘chilara’ politicsKCR commented,“they are talking about Ram Janmabhoomi. And then they will talk about Ravana janmabhoomi, Krishna janmbhoomi, Duryadhana janmabhoomi and Shoorpanaka janmabhoomi.” He went on to say: “The responsibility of a political party is to provide jobs, solve unemployment problem, provide power supply and take care of the needs of the people of the country, not fan religious tension,” he said.KCR, dwelling on the ‘Hindutva’ factor in his speech is significant because the BJP is also in the fray from Nizamabad, a seat held by his daughter K Kavitha.Explaining his plans for development of Telangana , KCR said the state would be divided into crop colonies after June.
